Mind Bright is a New Zealand workplace wellbeing and sustainable performance consultancy helping leaders and teams navigate the challenges of modern work with greater focus, resilience and sustainability.
Founded by Kristy von Minden in 2017, Mind Bright combines neuroscience, psychology, mindfulness and behaviour change science to deliver practical, evidence-based strategies that support both wellbeing and performance.
We believe sustainable high performance starts with human sustainability.
Today’s workplaces are faster, noisier and more cognitively demanding than ever before. Constant interruption, information overload and “always-on” ways of working are impacting focus, energy, decision-making, resilience and overall wellbeing.
At Mind Bright, we help organisations better understand the relationship between wellbeing and performance — and equip people with practical, actionable tools to improve both.
Because science tells us that when we better support our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing, our brains function better too. We think more clearly, communicate more effectively, make better decisions, improve creativity and problem-solving, and perform more sustainably over time.
Our sessions are known for combining evidence-based insights with practical frameworks, relatable storytelling and immediately usable strategies that genuinely connect with audiences and create meaningful behaviour change.
Mind Bright has worked with organisations across New Zealand and Australia including Air New Zealand, ASB, HSBC, Southern Cross, Foodstuffs, SkyCity, Auckland Council, Public Trust and many more.
We deliver engaging keynotes, workshops and programmes for groups ranging from 6 to 600 people — in person, online and hybrid.

MEET OUR FOUNDER, Kristy von MindeN
Mind Bright's Story
After a 15-year career in senior communications and leadership roles, working with some of the world’s biggest brands, Kristy saw firsthand the impact that long hours, constant pressure and “always-on” ways of working were having on herself and many of the intelligent, ambitious and high-performing people around her.
“I absolutely loved my job and thrived in high-pressure environments. No project was too big, no deadline too demanding. But after major back surgery at 26, I went from being a marathon runner doing everything at 110%, to living with chronic pain and stress while still trying to push through and perform at the same level.
“When, years later my back still hadn’t healed, and a major spinal fusion surgery didnt work, it became a wake-up call that something needed to change.
“My journey to recovery sparked an unexpected passion for neuroscience, mindfulness, psychology and behaviour change, and a fascination with the connection between wellbeing, focus and sustainable performance.
“I saw so many people around me struggling with stress, burnout, distraction and overwhelm, and realised this was an opportunity to turn my experience into something meaningful that could genuinely help others,” she says.
Her desire to better understand the challenges of modern work — and be part of a more practical, evidence-based solution — ultimately led her to re-train and establish Mind Bright in 2017.
